Short vs. Long Reviews: Which is More Effective?

Starting from the fact that very short reviews weigh less than lengthier ones (5-7 lines) in a product rank on Amazon, we were curious to dig into more than 400k reviews and see what we could find. We have captured some key numbers below.

33.4% (144,000) are one-sentence reviews, 2.4% (10,500) are one-word reviews, 64.2% of reviewers put in more time and words to share their experience with the purchased products.1 single review contains on average 48 words and 3.5 sentences. The sentiment analysis for 1-sentence reviews is: 110,000 positive, 34,000 negative; for 1-word reviews is 7,200 positive, 3,200 negative; for all reviews is 358,000 positive, 73,000 negative.
